Workshop Description

This is a half day pottery workshop suitable for beginners or if you have some experience of clay. I'll teach you how to hand build your own pottery vase from stoneware clay. I have a beautiful selection of flowers, leaves and berries for you to experiment with all picked from my garden and the hedgerows around my studio. You'll discover the joy of pressing them into clay revealing the beautiful imprint and patterns in your work. You can add words too with my selection of letter stamps. Once your piece is made you'll be able to paint your vase with a wide choice of underglazes to create your very own unique flower vase. This is a small informal class of up to 12 people, where you'll get lots of teaching time and have access to all the tools and beautiful flowers you need to create your pottery. You can choose from a wide range of glaze colours, I will then fire and glaze your vase for you to collect as a lovely keepsake of your day!
