Workshop Description

This is a half day pottery workshop suitable for beginners or if you have some experience of clay. I'll teach you how to hand build your own vase out of stoneware clay. I have a beautiful selection of flowers, leaves and berries for you to experiment with all picked from my garden and the hedgerows around my studio. You'll discover the joy of pressing them into clay revealing the beautiful imprint and patterns in your work. You can add words too with my selection of letter stamps. Once your pieces are made you'll be able to paint them with a wide choice of underglazes to create your very own unique pottery pieces. PLEASE NOTE: This is a small informal class of up to 12 people, the studio has 3 steps up to the entrance so if you or the person you are booking for has a disability or mobility issues please contact me before booking to discuss by emailing me admin@thethoughtfulpotter.co.uk where you'll get lots of teaching time and have access to all the tools and beautiful flowers you need to create your pottery. You can choose from a wide range of glaze colours, I will then fire and glaze your vase and contact you when its ready for you collect or I can post the finished pieces to you for an additional charge as a lovely keepsake of your day!
